The July 8, 2022, meeting will include a presentation by Chad Gough, Founder of 4Discovery, on the topic "Digital Forensics 101". Approved for 1 CLE general credit.

Chad Gough is the owner and founder of 4Discovery. He brings over two decades of experience in all aspects of digital forensics, electronic discovery, and information security matters. Chad heads up most forensic projects and provides expert testimony and consulting for attorneys. He routinely presents on a multitude of ESI data topics at various professional organizations for attorneys, litigation support professionals, corporate general counsels, forensic examiners, and information security professionals. Chad currently teaches courses on computer forensics and incident response at DePaul University, focusing on internet vulnerabilities, criminal activity, and investigative procedures.

This presentation is an introduction to digital forensics and features the most common ways to locate, preserve, and analyze ESI (electronically stored information) to support matters. Often data originates or is stored in multiple locations, and data can be used in more ways than most people think. We'll walk through use cases, case studies, and how to avoid pitfalls throughout the litigation lifecycle.
