    Audrey Gay Erhardt is a seasoned attorney with over 20 years of experience in estate planning, elder law, long-term care, probate, and trust administration. She is a Certified Behavioral Consultant and has a strong background in legal technology, having founded Practice42 to help lawyers streamline their practices and improve client service. Audrey's firm, The Law Office of Audrey Ehrhardt, offers a fully virtual service, allowing clients to receive legal assistance from anywhere. Her commitment to client-focused legal service is deeply influenced by her father, Gregory Gay, who practiced law for over 40 years. Audrey's dedication to effective planning and compassionate legal guidance is evident in her work with clients, ensuring they find peace and security in their planning.


    Anastas Shkurti is a Partner at Robbins DiMonte. He has two decades of experience negotiating and closing complex transactions, including commercial loan documentation, loan modifications, forbearance agreements, asset-based lending, intercreditor agreements, workouts, corporate mergers and acquisitions, asset and stock buys and sales, factoring, equipment leases and sales, franchise agreements, IT service agreements, master agreements, employment agreements, and organizing new businesses. Anastas also possesses unique insight in all aspects of commercial real estate construction, bidding, development, land use, leasing, management, rezoning, and municipal law. His litigation experience focuses on complex data analysis, damage calculations, forecasts, modeling, projections, and expert witness preparation. By offering in-house services to several national companies, Anastas has developed a broad perspective for evaluating legal consequences of all aspects of business operations. Anastas also leverages his research and technological background to offer clients cost efficient legal services of uncompromising quality.


    Julieanne E. Steinbacher, Esq., LLM, Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA), is a nationally recognized leader in elder care and special needs planning. A Fellow of ACTEC and a member of NAELA, she founded Steinbacher, Goodall & Yurchak and has grown it into a successful, multi‑office elder law and special‑needs planning firm. She is also a TEDx speaker focused on dementia and community impact and co‑host of The Hey Woman Podcast, where she shares practical insights on aging, caregiving, and planning. In 2025, she joined the Pennsylvania Department of Aging’s Alzheimer’s, Dementia and Related Disorders Advisory Committee as an advocate member and continues to champion awareness through the Alzheimer’s Association. She is also the author of multiple publications, including The Pennsylvania Trust Guide and The Special Needs Planning Guide.


    Linda Strohschein is the principal of Strohschein Law Group, LLC. This boutique estate planning and elder law firm has its main office in St. Charles and recently expanded to better serve the Northwest suburbs by acquiring Elder Law & Estate Planning Attorneys of Illinois in Arlington Heights. Linda concentrates her practice on Estate and Long-Term Care Planning, Guardianship, Estate and Trust Administration and Probate Litigation. Ms. Strohschein is certified as an Elder Law Attorney (CELA) by the National Elder Law Foundation. Although CELA is not required by the State of Illinois, this title is earned through a multi-faceted process and the attorney must successfully pass a comprehensive certification exam to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of Elder Law. She is a frequent speaker on a variety of estate planning and disability topics. Ms. Strohschein is a current member of the Kane County Bar Association. In addition, she is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and serves on the Board for the Illinois chapter.  Ms. Strohschein received her B.A. from George Mason University and her J.D. from the John Marshall Law School.

    This informative and timely webinar explores the complex and often misunderstood issue of involuntary discharges from skilled nursing facilities. Designed for legal professionals, advocates, healthcare providers, and families, the session will break down residents’ rights, federal and state regulations, and the legal standards governing transfers and discharges.


    Suzanne Courtheoux is the Director of the Long-Term Care Practice Group. Since she joined Legal Aid Chicago in 2013, Suzanne has been advocating for residents of long-term care facilities in suburban Cook County and Lake County through the Ombudsman Program. She advocates on a broad range of issues affecting residents and often represents residents in involuntary discharge hearings and Medicaid appeals. Prior to joining Legal Aid Chicago, Suzanne represented a wide range of clients in commercial litigation, labor & employment and insurance issues at large law firms – Jenner & Block and Seyfarth Shaw. Suzanne earned her bachelor’s degree at Yale University and her law degree at University of Chicago Law School in 2004.
